Hinc Achaemenidûm Tribus, maximae inter Persas aestimationis, Herodotus l. 1. c. 125. Unde Cambyses moribundus obtestatur Persas presentes, maxime Achaemenidas, ne permittant imperium rursus redire ad Medos, Idem l. 3. c. 65. quô pactô ad Darium, Hystaspis filium et ipsum Achaemenidam, regnum devenit. Sed et in genere Persae hinc Achaemenidae dicti, vide Ioh. Marsahmum Canone Chron. Sec. XVIII. et infra voce Achaemenidae.
